Tell us a bit about you.

Hi I'm Neet! I started my journey to a healthier me in 2016. I remember the first 'ah-ha' moment I had when I knew I HAD to change my lifestyle. I was walking down the street the morning before my friend's wedding and it felt like someone was walking right up behind me, but I quickly realised - it was MY BUTT!!! The top bulge of my bubble butt, was hitting me in the lower back. I was constantly exhausted, disappointed, uncomfortable, always out of breath and everything ached.

After having 2 kids, I had bumped myself last in my priority list. I had to start putting myself first!! I no longer wanted to be a spectator of my own life. I wanted to start saying 'YES' to things I would normally shy away from because of my weight. I wanted to set an example and show my kids that anything is possible if you believe in yourself! I wanted to find myself again.

I started my Instagram account as my daily visual diary for my journey, to keep myself accountable...but it's become sooo much more than that. What I have received in return is support, new friendships, like-minded people to share the highs and lows with, and a greater love for myself.

I am just an ordinary mum of 2, trying to find herself again after feeling 'lost' for so many years. It truly gives me all the feels to know that my ordinary story is inspiring others to make that first leap to finding a healthier version of themselves.

'Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams'. Big love, Neet x

What keeps you fit and active?

I love Crossfit, boxing and lifting weights. After many years of looking to food as an emotional release - my go-to now is exercise! I love being able to clear my head and take the frustrations of life out on boxing pads or to go big with the weights.

Do you have any tips to share to help with motivation and accountability?
  • There's no quick fix - it's all about consistency, preparation, new habits, and believing in yourself.
  • Don't be so hard on yourself when the shit hits the fan and you mess up - dust yourself off and keep going!
  • Don't solely focus on just the numbers!! It will do your head in some days.
  • Take LOTS of pics for yourself - especially for those days when you are struggling to see your results. They say a picture tells a thousands words and it's true. It's a great reminder as to how far you've come.
  • Motivation gets you going - HABIT is what will keep you going.
What's your favourite RunFaster print and/or style?

Pandemonium, but I might be biased LOL (Anita designed this awesome print for RunFaster) and everything high waisted!!

Any other stories or comments?

I never imagined that along my journey that I would become a brand Ambassador for anything fitness, but I truly love the RunFaster brand and I wear nothing else to workout in.
