Introducing our very own running expert, Rach. Is there anything Rach can't do? We're yet to find anything. This happy-go-lucky chick will inspire you to move, achieve your goals and laugh til your belly hurts (just don't park in her car spot!). Meet Rachel...

Tell us a bit about you.

I'm 46 years old. Have been married to my husband Michael for 17 years and we have 2 teenage boys - Nash and Zane. I am also a running coach and ex-primary school teacher. Up until last year I was an avid ultramarathon runner but in March I was diagnosed with a serious heart condition called ARVC (Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy), meaning I am no longer allowed to run. Many people thought that losing running might have a large impact on my life, but I am still heavily involved in the running world via my coaching, my work and also as a volunteer.

What keeps you fit and active?

No longer being able to run, I enjoy walking these days, Reformer Pilates and strength workouts.

Do you have any tips to share to help with motivation and accountability?

As they say - "find your people". I think this is so true and once you find a buddy (or a bunch of them) to meet up with and keep you accountable, your commitment to exercise will be more about happiness and friendship rather than hard work, making it a breeze!

What's your favourite RunFaster print and/or style?

ALL of them!! Haha! The RF Signature and Aquafit materials are my faves. I love the crew jumpers too.

Any other stories or comments?

Our running group (Rachel's Runners) has a motto - YES YOU CAN - and I believe if you really want to do something, you will find a way. Don't doubt yourself, just become better equipped with the tools to help you achieve your goals and little by little, you will get there.
