Bananas are one of the best foods to eat after running. Bananas contain key nutrients that are essential for post-workout recovery. They are loaded with carbohydrates and minerals such as potassium, making them great for refuelling. These frozen banana chocolate and peanut ice creams are not only delicious, but they are easy to make and great to have after a run on warmer days.

Ingredients
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 tbs smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • Handful of peanuts, chopped
  • Popsicle sticks
Methods
  1. Prepare a tray with baking paper.
  2. Cut the bananas into four pieces each.
  3. Place the bananas on the prepared tray.
  4. Place popsicle sticks into the bananas.
  5. Soften the peanut butter by placing it in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  6. Drizzle the peanut butter over the banana pieces.
  7. Melt the dark chocolate chips and mix.
  8. Drizzle the chocolate over the peanut butter and bananas.
  9. Sprinkle some chopped peanuts on top.
  10. Place tray in freezer.
  11. Keep in freezer for a few hours.
  12. Enjoy!
